Leda Yang is an Italian-born Chinese artist and writer based in London. Her drawing and sculpture draws from patterns and rhythms common in nature and mathematics, producing meaning and image through natural organisms. There is a focus in universally communicable ways of understanding of how living and non living materials form and exist. Her work strives to be a sanctuary from identity and using a language that is physical and visual. Shielded from, yet nestled within wider social discourse. Leda writes about and researches identity and accessibility in the arts and humanities, focusing on post-feminist and transnational approach to identity-making and space.
